Pentax Super Program (AKA Super A) (7687)

Released 1983. Followed by Program A aka Program Plus.
12-27-24: Pentax Super Program arrived in working condition with Pentax 50mm (8722) and Vivitar 28-80mm (9831) lenses. Flash had leaked batteries, discarded. Tiniest top panel LCD display i've seen. Light seals look OK.
Metering: Probably center-weighted average.
Shutter: Electronically controlled metal vertical travel, 15 sec to 1/2000th.
Focus: Manual focus, split image and micro prism focusing aids.
Viewfinder: Pentaprism, LEDs indicate shutter speed. Button on left of lens mount lights display.
Exposure modes: Program, Shutter Priority, metered manual modes. Also shoots aperture priority, and metered manual. M on the dial plus aperture at A means shutter priority mode. Auto on dial + aperture at A = program mode. Anything else is manual.
Flash: TTL auto flash and a program flash mode for dedicated flashes.
Film transport: Manual film transport, supports winders below.
Batteries: 2 x LR44 batteries.
Lenses: Uses Pentax KA lenses with "A" aperture setting for program or aperture priority modes. Can use older lenses in stop-down manual or shutter priority modes.
Accessories: Uses Winder ME II or Motor drive A. TTL flash with Pentax AF200T, AF280T, AF400T. Digital Data M prints data using stock back? How does that work?
Limitations: Tiniest top plate LCD I've seen. Shutter speeds in viewfinder hard to see.

1-16-25: First test film, using Kentmere ASA 100 developed for 13 minutes in Caffenol-C (instant coffee). This film was shared with the Nikon FG. Lens used was the Tamron 28-200mm F:3.8-5.6 KAF-mount (1172). Flash used was a Pentax AF200T. I'm very impressed with the lens, which is very sharp over the whole 28mm to 200mm range.
